Star Chart Reader AI
Enter a birth date, time, and place to get a natal chart reading generated by an AI model. I have always been fascinated by astrology, and this project combines that interest with my work in software development and AI.
Helsinki, Finland
Hi, I'm Hang.
I build web applications.
I've worked as a software engineer for six years, mostly on frontend and full-stack development. I'm currently a full-time software engineer at Elekta, building software for radiation oncology workflows, and finishing my M.Sc. in Computer Science at Aalto University. Last autumn 2025, I studied on exchange at Singapore University of Technology and Design.
I run a blog where I write about working in tech, student life in Finland, and travel: hangmoon.fi.

- Wrote automated tests across the stack: Python unit and integration tests for backend services, and end-to-end UI tests with Playwright.
- Implemented automated UI testing with Playwright and behavior-driven backend testing with Behave, significantly improving test coverage and reliability.
- Used AI coding assistants and agents in daily development, reviewing generated code for correctness, security and maintainability before merging.

Projects
Things I've built
Personal projects, mostly built on evenings and weekends.
Name My Baby AI
There is a niche in the spiritual space where numerology is popular. This project generates baby names based on numerology principles. Trust me when I say I have been asked to name babies after I finished reading the numerology book.
Chord Transposer
I learned to play the ukulele and the piano during my Bachelor's degree. I like singing so learning to play chords and singing along with the instrument was a fun start. One issue was that the chord transpose feature of Ultimate Guitar was behind a premium price. So I built a simple web app that transposes chords for free.
Meme Generator
My legacy project from before COVID. Pick a template, add captions, and download the result. Built as a way to learn Redux state management properly.
